Accreditation
Many
excellent colleges and universities have chosen to become
secularly accredited, while others of equal standing and reputation have chosen, for Biblical or theological reasons,
to remain non-secularly accredited. Every accredited
institution was once non-accredited. Vintage
Bible College has decided not to seek secular accreditation
and so remains free from secular control and open to the
leading of the Holy Spirit. This also allows us to maintain
affordable tuition rates. Many entering ministry discover
that a secularly-accredited degree is not affordable, nor is
it applicable to their needs, so you may want to consider
what best suits your particular circumstance.
Even
secularly accredited schools cannot normally guarantee the
acceptance of credits or degrees from other schools since
each student is evaluated and then accepted or denied based
upon a number of individual factors. While some
scholarships and tuition reimbursement programs may only
cover classes from an accredited school, you may consider
requesting a scholarship match from the VBC Admissions
Department which could reduce your tuition to match the
out-of-pocket cost, thus allowing you to enroll in the
school of your choice.
VBC is a
private, interdenominational, school of ministry and the
programs of study offered are of religious nature. Though VBC is not secularly accredited, we hold as our
primary objective the highest academic achievements in the
areas of private education; therefore, many colleges
accept our credits on the strong integrity of our programs
of study. If you have specific questions about credit
transfers, you should contact the registrar's office of the
institution you desire to attend.
